Founded in 2013, ODID mission is to promote the social and economic development of Dondon. Initially focused on the Festival des Grottes, a cultural event celebrating Dondon’s history and heritage, the festival highlights local landmarks and promotes artisans, tourism, and cultural performances. Expanding its mission, ODID launched Mobile Health Clinics in 2016 and the Women’s Safe House and Girls Leadership Program in 2022. By 2024, it established the École Musique de Dondon and introduced a Microcredit Program.

The Festival des Grottes is a key platform for youth development, women’s empowerment, and cultural celebration. It offers youth talent showcase opportunities, fostering pride, community, and leadership. Women entrepreneurs can promote their businesses, creating economic opportunities and financial independence. This intersection of youth and women’s empowerment builds a stronger, more resilient community. As ODID approaches its 10th anniversary in 2025, the festival reinforces its commitment to healthcare, education, cultural preservation, and sustainable community development.
