Dondon occupies more than 60% of Haiti’s Parc National Historique, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the country’s most significant cultural landscapes. It is home to the Voûte à Minguet, a sacred Taíno cave-temple that preserves traces of Haiti’s earliest civilizations, as well as the historic Ramiers sites, reflecting a deep pre-Columbian presence and a powerful revolutionary legacy.
The area also forms part of the historic network established under Henry Christophe, including key forts that supported the defense of the Citadelle Laferrière. Just a short distance away lies the Palais Sans-Souci, reinforcing Dondon’s role within one of the most important historical corridors in the Caribbean.
A unique destination where history, culture, and landscape converge, offering both a profound connection to the past and a meaningful experience of Haiti’s living heritage.
